My dad was an operator (and still is). I used to go on the route with him and "test" all the games while he counted the quarters. As I got older I learned to fix the machines and was a serviceman, doing the routes myself. I remember going to the A.M.O.A. shows at Mc Cormick Place in Chicago Ill to see all the new games every year. One year they jumped the ticket price from 40$ to 800$ per person (gotta love Chicago) and that was the last year I went. I've gotten to see (and play) all of the greatest machines in their hayday. I remember seeing Flight 2000 (before it was released), Bally's Bow And Arrow (at age 7) among many others. I eventually ran things for a while and then got out of the buisness to make it on my own in trucking.

In June of 2008 I bought my first computer in order to find a better job than the one I had. At the time I didn't even know how to use it but knew I would find more jobs on the internet than the newspaper. After playing Space Cadet Pinball I went in search of cd roms to buy with other pinball games on them, then I found Visual Pinball!! Although I joined VPF and PN in December of 09 I couldn't get it to work. In January of 2010 my friend Marc came over and explained the concept of a folder within a folder or subfolders. I've been doing pretty well since then. I have 10 files to my credit, have changed operating sytems on my own, and have put together a laptop (screen, motherboard, and all) from two inoperative ones. At this rate I should be ruling the world by 2012! (Just kidding). I work as a Yardman for a tranportation company outside Chicago but really function as a Yard Supervisor, without the title. Anyway, that's me in a nutshell.
